THE BAND PERRY: IF I DIE YOUNG

I'm not a bluegrass fan at all, but I was smitten with the song IF I DIE YOUNG- a song recorded by new American country group, THE BAND PERRY.
"The Band Perry" is Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano) and her two brothers Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals) and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion, background vocals). The siblings was signed by Republic Nashville in August 2009 and released their self titled debut album in October 2010. It already spawned two singles "Hip to My Heart" and "If I Die Young", the latter of which reached number one on the Hot Country Songs charts and has rightly been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Single.

If you're tired of the same ol' country sound, you need look no further than The Band Perry to find something new. I believe they will be around for a very long time.=0

LADY GAGA: BORN THIS WAY

People are already going crazy for LADY GAGA's
brand new single, BORN THIS WAY- an anthemic song with a pulsating beat and a love-yourself message that's bound to pack dancefloors, music channels and radios. And after only few days of availability, the song rockets to a record setting debut on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 radio airplay chart (thanks to exceptionally strong opening digital sales 450,000 downloads) and earned the recognition as the 1000th song to reach number one on the history of Billboard Hot 100!

The pop superstar collaborates with Fernando Garibay (who co-wrote Gaga's "Dance in the Dark," as well as songs for Britney Spears, Will.i.am and Enrique Iglesias) and DJ White Shadow. The song is a stellar preview for the album of the same name, due May 23=O

ESPERANZA WHO?

After winning the Best New Artist at the 2011 Grammy Awards, it's about time to know more info's about ESPERANZA SPALDING. Spalding was born on October 18, 1984 in Portland, Oregon. At an early age of 14, she fell in love with an upright bass and
distinguished herself playing blues, funk, hip-hop, pop fusion, and Brazilian and Afro-Cuban styles as well.
She auditioned for the Berklee College of Music and managed to do so well that she was given a full scholarship and eventually graduated in 2005.

That same year, the dynamic singer has been heralded as jazz's next big thing after giving an impressive performance at the White House recital dates- with high praises from the likes of legendary musicians Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock. Spalding also has gigged it at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2009. And she got to sing a tribute to Prince at the BET Awards last year.

Critically acclaim indeed. Is it warranted? Listen to one of her songs, "Grooves" below and you might just become a fan of the relatively unknown musician ...

Perfect song for VALENTINES DAY

I’ve stumbled upon KINA GRANNIS' Valentine song in YouTube and I had to share this in my blog. I love the soothing sounds of her voice, guitar and lyrics. The music video is really cute as well. Watch the clip below.

Love, it's a special day
We should celebrate and appreciate
That you and me found something pretty neat
And I know some say this day is arbitrary

But it's a good excuse
Put our love to use
Baby, I know what to do
Baby, I will love you
I'll love you
I'll love you

Love, I don't need those things
I don't need no ring, I don't need anything
But you with me, 'cause in your company
I feel happy, oh so happy, and complete

And it's a good excuse
Put our love to use
Baby, I know what to do
Baby, I will love you
I'll love you
I'll love you

So won't you be my honeybee
Giving me kisses all the time
Be mine, be my valentine

So won't you be my honeybee
Giving sweet kisses all the time
Be mine, be my valentine
Be my valentine...

You can also download the song for free! Click here.

On a personal note, MUCH much love to my family, my friends and to my special someone! :D

To everyone- Happy Valentine’s Day!!
