Cornell Haynes Jr. or better known by his stage name as NELLY, is back on the charts with the song JUST A DREAM. Produced by Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, the track is a midtempo cross between straightforward hip-hop and a pop ballad about missing a past love.This serves as the lead single from his sixth studio album, Nelly 5.0 (2010). The 'Hot in Here' rapper has got the right mix of his old style and evolution into a newer style. And it's a good thing that he didn't use auto-tune!...Well done Nelly!

This is an old GREEN DAY song...it was originally called Good Riddance, found on their 1997 album Nimrod.
I think the song is about a break up but not to cry about it, think about the good times you had, think about the laugh and the special moments you had...

Or it could be about time and life in general, and how no matter what you're past is you say Good Riddance to it and live for a new day and changing with the times.

LEE DEWYZE: LIVE IT UP

The reigning American Idol winner LEE DEWYZE already released his debut album LIVE IT UP and ended up selling just under 40,000 copies which was good enough to chart at #19 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Thus far, this is the lowest debut in units sold for an American Idol winner since Kris Allen's debut of 80,000 units sold. DeWyze's album is also the second album of an American Idol winner (after Allen, who debut and peaked at #11) to not debut in the top 10 of Billboard 200 and the #19 debut marks the lowest position for an AI winner.

Personally, I really love the album. Lee delivered great melodies and great lyrics. There's a variety of songs genre here that goes to show how versatile he is as an artist! Everything this man has done so far in his musical career is amazing and this album is no different.

We R Who We R is the latest chart topper song by KESHA, from her first EP, CANNIBAL. The song was released as the EP's lead single and was written by her, with Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and Ammo who also produced the song. Kesha was inspired to write the song in the wake of news that bullying had led to multiple suicides of gay youth. Hence the message of the song is to inspire people to be themselves, a celebration of anyone deemed quirky or eccentric.

BROOKE FRASER is a Pop/Folk singer who sounds like a cross between Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones. Hailing from New Zealand, she comes from Hillsong United, an internationally-recognized Christian worship band.

While she isn't exactly a "new artist," the beautiful song Something In The Water is the first time I've heard of her...This track is the first single from her latest album FLAGS which was released earlier this year.

JUSTIN BIEBER: MY WORLD ACOUSTIC

Teen music sensation JUSTIN BIEBER announces via twitter that his new album My World Acoustic will be released on November 23. That date now appears to have moved to the day following the American Thanksgiving, Friday November 26.
The new record will contain songs from his My World and My World 2.0 albums on stripped versions as well as a brand new track called "Pray" which is described as "an optimistic, uplifting song, and represents the spirit behind 'My Worlds Acoustic."

The press release for the album says, "Justin intends the album as a gift to his fans; the arrangements reflect Justin's early days with merely an acoustic guitar or a lone piano." Check out some of my favorite tracks below.

One of the highlights on Taylor Swift's new record is the emotional "DEAR JOHN" Her voice may be digitally tuned, but the timbre and word emphasis are elegant as she sings about feeling used.
The subject is assumed by many to be about her brief ties to John Mayer, but while nothing is confirmed in the lyrics, the music certainly seems to support this speculation. The two made a song together in 2009, the song was Half Of My Heart and it was for Mayer's album.

Nearing seven minutes in length, Swift takes her time with "Dear John," saving her strongest points for the end; her voice finding strength in the words as the song passes by.

Multiplatinum-selling singer and recent Canadian Walk of Fame inductee Nelly Furtado will celebrate her tenth anniversary as a recording artist with her first greatest hits compilation The Best Of Nelly Furtado to be released worldwide on November 16.

"Back To December" is the latest piece of music we've heard from Taylor Swifts' latest album Speak Now. Personally, this is my favorite song from the new record. It features a lush arrangement that borders on orchestral towards the end and during the chorus, it actually sounds like a Lady Antebellum song!

Swift admits that the song is “almost word-for-word” a conversation she had in real life with a boy whose heart she broke. Fans are tending to believe that she’s referring to Twilight hottie Taylor Lautner, with whom she was linked earlier this year.
