His second single, "When I Was Your Man," handed him his fifth No. 1 single on the "Hot 100" chart and also earned him his sixth #1 single on Billboard’s “Mainstream Top 40” radio airplay chart, pushing him above Justin Timberlake and Nelly as the solo male artist with the most chart-toppers in the tally’s 20-year history.

BRUNO MARS performs epic set for BBC Live Lounge

BRUNO MARS performed an extended set for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge during his appearance on Thursday (Dec 6) as part of his 'Unorthodox Jukebox' UK promo tour. 

The singer played seven songs including new single 'Locked Out of Heaven' and global smash 'Grenade'. He also sang covers of "Silent Night", "Fire" (by Jimi Hendrix) and "Part of Your World" + "Under The Sea" from "The Little Mermaid" soundtrack!! Check out the full performance below:

BRUNO MARS back on top!

Half-Filipino artist BRUNO MARS started 2011 as America's pop chart king- his latest single GRENADE has blasted Katy Perry's Firework off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. The feat marks singer-songwriter's second solo chart-topper, matching the success of his debut 'Just The Way You Are' last year.

It's also the first time a male solo artist has taken his first two singles to top the charts in 13 years (P. Diddy was the last to do it with the one-two punch of "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" and "I'll Be Missing You" in year 1997).

If you count B.o.B's "Nothin' on You," it's Mars' third consecutive number one song, which is an incredible accomplishment for such a young artist.


There's a buzz that the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer will set foot in the country on April 9 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. More details here.

BRUNO MARS is half-Filipino!

Just found out that the vocals behind the hit single "Nothin' on you" has a Filipino blood!...Peter Hernandez II aka BRUNO MARS was born and raised in Hawaii by parents Peter Hernandez and Bernadette Hernandez, of Filipino and Puerto Rican descent. (You can Wiki here for more profile infos).

He has only been on the music scene for a short while, but has definitely made a mark on different music charts all over the world. His guest appearances and co-penned hooks on the following singles below earned him a recognition.
