You Can Always Come Home...

I followed Jason Castro through his American Idol journey and loved his easygoing sound. Wish he would have made it further, but turns out he didn't need the show to get his music going.

His debut album The Love Uncompromised shows something original about his voice and its very enjoyable to listen. The record sounds natural and presents Jason as a folk, pop singer songwriter. Hate to compare though but he's like the boy version of Colbie Caillat.

Below is one of my favorite track from the album titled You Can Always Come Home featuring Serena Ryder.

YOU CAN ALWAYS COME HOME

I don’t think he deserves you
I’m gonna come right out and say it
Even though I hardly know you at all
That’s what makes this so hard
‘Cause I remember he hurt you
Told you he didn’t have the time
To see you or even answer your calls
After breaking your heart
I know it barely even started but I fully believe
You could have been the one for me
And I miss what we might have had
Honey, I miss what we could have done
I wrote a sad song about it and I’m still pretty bitter
But I’m happy if you’re happy he won
And I still miss you in the night and I want you to know
If he leaves you cold in the city, aching for a lover
Honey, you can always come home

Oh, do you ever stop to think
That he did it to you once
Oh, he’s probably gonna do it again?
Or do you defend that he’s an angel of virtue?
He made a mistake and it cost him what he loved
But he knows he’s done, he’s sorry for it now
Well, he’s never gonna leave you again
Well, maybe you’re right but I still believe
That you could have been the one for me
And I miss what we might of had
Honey, I miss what we could have done
I wrote a sad song about it and I’m still pretty bitter
But I’m happy if you’re happy he won
And I still miss you in the night and I want you to know
If he leaves you cold in the city, aching for a lover
Honey, you can always come home

If he leaves you cold in the city and you’re begging for a lover
Honey, you can always come home
