PHILLIP PHILLIPS: TAKE ME AWAY (ACOUSTIC)

Idol winner PHILLIP PHILLIPS has just unveiled his new original song titled "Take Me Away". at the Mix 106.1 radio event in Philadelphia. The 21 year-old Georgia-born singer/songwriter performed the slow-tempo track which tells the story of a man who desperately wants his lady friend to pull him out of his funk. Watch!!


The song has more alternative-indie feel than the country twang of his debut hit "Home" and I love it! It's exactly the sound i was expecting from Phillips.=O

PHILLIP PHILLIPS: HOME (ACOUSTIC VERSION)

It looks like PHILLIP PHILLIPS has won a gold medal on his own! After his American Idol coronation single “Home” was played during Olympic coverage of the Girls gymnastics team competition (which the US won gold), the tune bounce back on the charts game and eventually reached the #1 spot on the iTunes chart!...Good for him, it's nice to see some more AI success outside of the usuals (Kelly, Carrie...).
